Talking/Reading/Singing

Studies show that talking, reading, and singing do amazing things to help your child learn and it helps their brain develop.  During break please…

*Talk with your child throughout the day. Some great questions and topics are …..

In the morning look out the window and talk to them about what the weather and temperature is that day (hot, warm, cool, cold).

Ask them to tell you about a picture they drew.

Practice counting with your child.

At the end of the day ask them what the best part of their day was.

*Read to your child- Reading 15 minutes a day to your child will help their vocabulary grow and prepare them for learning to read in the future.

*Sing with your child- Listed below are some of our favorite songs from school.

Jesus Loves Me

He’s got the Whole World in His Hands.

Jesus Loves the Little Children

Father, We Love you

I will make you Fishers of Men

I would love to be updated on what you and your child are doing during the time off. Please feel free to send me pictures of books you read, fun things you are creating or building (art, block towers), anything fun you and your child do to learn and grow during break.  Thank you for your help. Have a wonderful couple of weeks with your child!
